Wood frame

Prepare the framework before treatment

Do you regularly work on sites where you need to treat roof timbers?

First of all, in the case of insects or fungi, it is essential to properly strip the worm-eaten parts of the wood before it is treated. Here are a few recommendations.

Before starting any preventive or curative treatment of your timber frame, it's important to wear protective clothing (disposable overalls, dust mask, goggles and gloves).

Prepare the timber frame before treatment

First of all, the wood must be dry and clean, and any paint or varnish must be removed beforehand. Next, protect the floor with a tarpaulin and remove any nails that have been driven in. Next, use a brush to remove dust from all the wooden surfaces to be treated.

Finally, to remove the worm-eaten parts on the surface, you'll need a tool that will save you effort. For this, we recommend the Scrap'Air 24 pneumatic stripper. This ergonomic tool effectively removes the dead parts of the wood so you can fit injectors before spraying.
